Maben Group is pleased to announce the successful completion of Shopping on Clyde. Coles and the tenancies have opened their doors for trading to the public, following celebrations held on Friday and over the weekend with local dignitaries.

The Maben team would like to take the opportunity to thank all of those involved in reaching this milestone. A special mention goes to Basso Project Management and Clarke Hopkins Clarke, companies that Maben Group has successfully completed projects with in the past and looks forward to completing more successful projects with in the future.

A thank-you to our subcontractors who have worked tirelessly with us throughout the last 12 months. Your efforts have been greatly appreciated.

Finally, a special mention to the developers, Judith Clarkson and Jodie Mitchell (featured in the third photograph above after cutting the ribbon). It’s been a pleasure to work with you both and what has been built is a shopping centre you can be proud of.

Internal fit out works speed ahead with all services roughed in and sheeting and tiling commenced. Maben Group is pleased to announce the successful completion and launch of the David Jones Women’s Store Ground Floor Accessories refurbishment on the 30th of October, ready for trade over the long weekend. The scope encapsulated the demolition, base build and re-fit of roughly 1400sqm of existing trading area. In just under 14 weeks an exciting new concept and design, unique to Bourke Street, was delivered. The perimeter is now lined with high end boutiques and trading areas, and customers step off Lt Bourke street through a newly resized bronze and glazed entry portal.

The store was required to maintain the popular public link between Lt Bourke and Bourke St, and this was achieved through full height and a stand-alone hoarding tunnel link, all whilst completing the works day and night. The David Jones Real Estate Development has a wealth of retail construction delivery and interface experience, and through their, and the stores helpful collaboration to project delivery strategies, a logistically complex project was achieved successfully and made a pleasure for Maben Group.

Maben Group and the David Jones site team would like to thank all of the subcontractors and suppliers involved in the project. Without their tireless efforts and flexibility this fantastic store and project could not have been delivered.
