Concrete works have begun at Pacific Epping Quest with the footings for the lift over run pit now complete.

The team are currently forming up the lift over run shutters, and the first ground pour is scheduled for next week.

Keep an eye out for the crane which is set up for delivery in a few weeks time!

External cladding works on the high level facade are mostly complete and the preparations for the low level cladding have now commenced.

The perforated plaster raked ceilings have been painted in the heritage gallery and the exposed ductwork installation has begun.

Mechanical and fire services have been roughed into Level 1 of the New Gallery, and the gallery art wall framing is following closely behind.





With only a few weeks left until the Cafe is handed over to the fitout team, Lawson, Manny, Ali and the team have successfully completed most of the finer details of the Essendon Fields project.

The fire place /chimney, paving and all the windows are finished. Internally the polished concrete floors are down (and look fantastic!).

Externally the airside fence is complete and the exterior cladding is coming to a close.

Maben have mobilised onsite at Wendouree and commenced service isolations in preparation for the strip out and structural demolition of the existing Safeway.





The Pacific Epping Quest site has begun and works are progressing well.

Civil remediation works and the building bench are complete, with all piling works nearing completion and ready for the in-ground services and concrete works to commence.

Maben Group are pleased to announce that we have been appointed the preferred contractor for Stage 1 of the CubeOne Development in Narre Warren.

Stage 1 of the commercial office project incorporates one of two office buildings and a standalone restaurant premises with indoor and outdoor seating.

Works for the project include:

– A central core design providing excellent natural light
– Double height atrium entry with two passenger lifts to all floors
– Undercroft / on-site car parking
– End of trip facilities including change rooms, showers and lockers

Maben Group welcomes Angelo to the team as Site Manager.

Ange has over 22 years of construction experience in both the commercial and residential sectors on projects ranging from $10M to $75M.

He has a strong track record on a range of new build projects and an excellent record for successful completion of projects on-time and on budget.

Gaetano began his career in the construction industry as an apprentice Boiler Maker / Welder, and 35 years later he joins us in the role of Site Manager.

Gaetano has worked in all aspects of demolition, refurbishment and new construction and his extensive experience provides him with a solid knowledge in all areas of the commercial Building Trade.

The team at Colac Plaza have been humming along down in south west Victoria throughout June.

The Coles box has hit another milestone with the installation of roller shutters & external doors enabling the team to lock-up.

Internally, all service trades have substantially progressed through their rough-in. 75% of the cool rooms have been installed and the internal perimeter wall framing and plastering is sitting at 70% complete. Offices to Coles have been sheeted with ceiling installation to follow shortly in this area.

Back of house block work walls are well underway with completion expected this week. The first of 3 staged pours to the infill slab has been poured in the back of house area, with the remaining 2 pours to the cool rooms and prep areas to go. Grinding of the polished slab is 90% on the first pass, with focus concentrated to the refrigeration case zones ahead of the first delivery last week.

Outside the Coles box there has been plenty of action. The structural steel completion to the tenancies of Building A has triggered service rough-in, shop front aluminium frames and glazing installation, roofing wire to be laid and box gutters to be installed. Roofing to Building A will be installed this week.

Building B has recently had precast panels erected and the structural steel installation commenced on Friday.

Civil preparation works have benched the large culvert adjacent to the loading bay, and this is now ready to go for the commencement of the detailed raft slab excavation this week. The team are gearing up to decamp from the site sheds in a fortnight and will relocate into tenancies to free up the carpark area for civil works.
