Last week saw the team at 260 Collins street handover the level 1 shop fronts – just in time for the start of Melbourne Fashion Week. The façade consists of black alucobond and frameless glass which is consistently used throughout the existing building.
The shop front redevelopment was very successful with our team and the subcontractors working against the clock to ensure the final completion date was achieved. This handover completion is the first component of the project and the team can now focus on bringing home the lower ground floor as the final month of work approaches.
All sections of the Debenhams lower ground floor have been handed over and fit out is now underway. The team is very pleased with how this floor has progressed over the last couple of weeks and can slowly see the department store coming to life.
Tilers are about to commence their final section under and around the escalators.
Electrical fit off is in full motion with the Debenhams feature lights to be installed just in time for the arrival of permanent power to the site.
Paint work is starting to wrap up as the fitting rooms get their final coat.
