What a weekend, and what a crane. Job well done by Mike’s newly named “A team” at Flinders Lane. It was a tight squeeze in Hosier Lane, however the boys at Custom Lift Services mastered the task.  The crane is wedged between the Zambesi Building and Youth Project Inc on Hosier Lane, surrounded by Melbourne graffiti artwork for a picturesque back drop. Most cranes sit in the middle of a chaotic construction site, towering over timber, mud, and power tools, our Maben crane however sits amongst the Forum Theatre Melbourne and St Paul Cathedral’s aesthetic spiral tower.

On the day there were many difficulties given the small space to work with, piece by piece the crane was put together like a puzzle. An original plan from an unnamed member of the “A Team” to only light up letter’s B E N, just to stir Damien up was soon scrapped with the offer of a feast at Mamasita after a hard days work.

Crane is now up and running, and lighting up Melbourne CBD sky proudly.

A Team
