Ben founded Maben Group with Damien Marasco in 2004, demonstrating a passion for the industry. His experience and knowledge in contract administration and construction management is highly sought after in the industry. Ben is dedicated to creating a proactive and progressive construction company based on integrity, and one with a strong focus on establishing building knowledge and efficiency within the organisation.
Damien founded Maben Group with Ben Pedersen in 2004. He is responsible for the general operation of all Maben Group projects, providing leadership in the day-to-day running of the sites and the performance of site operations. His extensive 20 years’ experience and professionalism enables Damien to construct projects across all sectors including key projects such as Woodlea Town Centre, Highpoint Aesthetic Upgrade and the Myer Music Centre Redevelopment.
Craig has developed a wealth of practical and professional experience over his 35+ years in commercial construction. He is widely respected in the industry and utilises his leadership skills to provide critical support and communications with our clients and construction teams. Craig’s extensive knowledge across all facets of construction has assisted the company to grow and field the charge in building and construction management.
Andrew has over 35 years of Tier 1 commercial construction experience and he is widely skilled in large-scale, complex projects and business development functions. With strong client liaison and management expertise, Andrew has played a lead role in overseeing all stages of many landmark retail and commercial developments from tender through to completion. Andrew’s high standards of performance, commitment and communication ensure he provides invaluable leadership to our new business and construction teams.
Paul has over 25+ years of estimating experience, managing estimating teams ranging in size from three to a dozen. During this time, Paul has successfully secured projects of various sizes and industry sectors with a specific niche/expertise around retail. His strong cost planning knowledge is of significant assistance when participating in relevant value management exercises, whilst his post contract award administration experience is also of invaluable benefit to the group.
Luke provides commercial leadership by working closely with our project teams and accounts department to offer strategic advice and manage key project risks and opportunities. Luke is an excellent communicator and takes pride in building and developing a positive team environment. With over 30 years’ experience, he ensures accurate and timely administration of head contracts and subcontracts in strict accordance with Maben Group contract administration procedures and processes.
Lance is a qualified Chartered Accountant and responsible for the management and oversight of the organisation’s financial and accounting operations, maintaining strong relationships with our banking and financial security providers. Lance works closely with our external accountants, and is responsible for the financial and regulatory compliance of the company. He provides excellent leadership and robust management processes to accomplish the business plans and strategies of the organisation.
Head of Design
Will is a highly capable construction professional with a core capability in design management and building services coordination and supervision. He works closely with our estimators and project delivery teams, managing the design processes to achieve design development milestones and providing strategic planning and forecasting. He has over 14 years’ experience and is a strong communicator, maintaining a high level of professionalism in high-stress situations.
Bonny has extensive knowledge of the commercial construction industry, with an auditing certificate and a Diploma of Work Health and Safety. He works closely with Elliott Safety to implement and manage a fully integrated management system that incorporates safety, quality, and environment. His passionate leadership style and strong administrative skills ensure our systems are implemented consistently across all sites, resulting in continual improvement and a strong safety culture across the whole organisation.
People, Culture & Communications Manager
Annique fulfils the role of People, Culture and Communications Manager. Annique works collaboratively to design, develop, and implement strategies to attract, engage and retain employees and maintain a high-performance culture. Annique manages the Maben brand, delivering the marketing outcomes for the business, including company events, website, and social media management.
Matthew has demonstrated drive and true commitment to the industry during his 10+ years in commercial construction. He works closely with our Design Manager and estimators, developing strong relationships with clients and consultants, and providing strategic preconstruction advice to our project teams. Matthew has established a great reputation as an authentic leader who is highly respected by his peers for mentoring and developing high performing construction teams.
Daniel commenced his career with Maben Group in 2012 and has completed many significant projects including the Myer Music Centre Redevelopment, Merrifield City, Debenhams Development and the Metropolitan Golf Club New Clubhouse. Our clients, consultants and sub-contractors respect Daniel for his calm and unwavering leadership in challenging situations on site. His attention to detail and disciplined managerial skills are an asset to any project team.
Daniel has been instrumental in ensuring that projects are built correctly and completed on time and budget. He has helped design and develop many in-house management systems to ensure successful delivery of complex design and construct project requirements. Daniel has delivered key projects such as the Highpoint Aesthetic Upgrade and Wendouree Shopping Centre Expansion and is highly respected for his professional manner and developing strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.
Derryn began his construction career over 15 years ago and has earned the reputation for effectively managing project teams and completing projects on time. Some of his more recent projects include EastCo, Eastland Office Development and 7 Ormond. He has developed strong relationships with some of our key clients and consultants, and his wealth of construction and management knowledge helps maximise output from our project teams.
With over 20 years of industry experience in the Melbourne commercial sector, Manny is an experienced construction professional. He is a capable leader, with a strong track record on a range of new build and complex refurbishment projects. Some of his completed projects include Woodlea Town Centre, Kingston Village and Albert Street. Manny’s unwavering commitment and dedication to Maben and our customers have resulted in strong relationships with repeat clients.
Christian is an experienced construction leader with extensive experience in managing complex developments. He has a demonstrated history of delivering large projects up to $330M, with a particularly strong understanding of retail expansion and redevelopment. Christian has over 21 years’ commercial construction experience and a track record of managing stakeholder expectations, whilst controlling budgets and successfully completing projects on time.
