Following on from the successful completion of GPT Group’s Highpoint Aesthetic Upgrade project, Maben Group was engaged to complete the David Jones / Kmart project.
The retail refurbishment involved separating an existing David Jones two-level retail space into two major single-level tenancies.
Works included splitting an existing loading dock and removing dual existing escalators within the center of the tenancies to create a new Kmart store on Level 2.
David Jones continued to trade on Level 3 throughout the project.
Despite the challenging nature of the live environment project site and COVID-19 disruptions, our project delivery team successfully handed over the completed Kmart selling floor to shop fitters within six months.
