Our project, 5 Bond Street for client QIC, topped out in March, marking the latest addition to a fast-growing commercial precinct advancing Eastland’s reputation as a popular hub for professional and public services in Melbourne’s east.

Delivered for our partner, QIC, and designed by renowned Melbourne architecture firm Fender Katsalidis, the all-electric 12,000sqm office building is targeting 6-star NABERS and 5-star Green Star across its five upper floors of office space and 242-space carpark.

Eastern Health, a leading specialist provider of emergency, surgical, medical and general healthcare services, will occupy approximately 5000sqm across 5 Bond Street’s ground floor, level 5 and 6, while a new national head office for Australian not-for-profit apprenticeship network provider MEGT will occupy level 9.

5 Bond Street follows the construction of the 14,000sqm Department of Transport office tower opposite the shopping centre and a 4000sqm Waterman coworking space within Eastland in 2022..

Positioned in one of Victoria’s strongest growth corridors, the building provides doorstep access to the vibrant retail, dining and lifestyle offerings of Eastland as well as ultra-convenient public transport connectivity via the adjacent Ringwood train station and bus interchange.

QIC Investment General Manager Quintin Mansell said: “Through the professionalism and efficiency of longtime QIC collaborators Maben and Fender Katsalidis, we have been able to deftly navigate the challenges facing the construction industry of late and remain on track to deliver another CBD-standard office building for this booming Melbourne suburb.”

Maben would like to extend thanks to QIC for their ongoing partnership, as well to our trusted subcontractors and project delivery team for making this milestone possible.
