A major milestone at Melbourne Central, with the first tower crane now installed on site.
The installation required two overnight road closures across two weekends on Lonsdale Street, between Elizabeth and Swanston Streets, with careful logistics and planning to maintain pedestrian access to the centre throughout the works.
Our project team collaborated closely with traffic management teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure minimal disruption to centre operations while maintaining public safety throughout the installation.
And this is just the beginning. We’re looking forward to sharing more updates as works continue to progress on site.
