UK’s TOPSHOP has landed in Australia, right in our own backyard – Chapel Street. A few months were spent structurally composing the base build of Topshop. The works all lead up to the final night prior to opening, which everyone, including the Director’s Ben and Damien jumped on the tools to get the job done. It was a site to see with all the boys in their PPE clothes with hammer and nails out for the opening at 10am the next morning.  Enthusiastic shoppers slept outside the building in anticipation of getting their first taste of the iconic UK store. Twitter was sent a buzz with photos and stories of the morning’s antics, while the Maben crew rested up for another day at the Jam Factory.

Other works completed at the Jam Factory have been Nando’s, TGI Fridays and Salsa’s. All of which Maben had a hand in the structure and base of these food outlets. We are continuing to work throughout the Jam Factory including the food court and the offices behind the scenes. For the past few months and many to come the Jam Factory has/will look like an ongoing construction site, however after seeing the proposed overall look and ambiance it is most definitely well worth the wait. The gantry was put up in May and we are looking forward the final appearance of this prominent street façade.
