Metropolitan Golf Club engaged Maben Group once again to manage the delivery of the final stage of their Club House redevelopment.
McIldowie Partners made clever use of the existing structure and obtained significant cost savings by
maintaining the basement and a suspended slab from the existing structure.
The Club Pro Shop and amenities were temporarily relocated to enable the construction of a new brickwork and steel structure with a zinc roof to match the existing clubhouse.
The new Golf Services Wing houses a new pro shop, new male and female locker room facilities – including toilets, showers, lockers, and change rooms, two new golf storage facilities, a workshop, and administration offices.
Services for the new wing were incorporated into the existing facilities with very little disruption.
The completion of the new Golf Services Wing compliments the adjoining clubhouse both functionally and architecturally.
