The CLEC Stage 2 site is taking shape with structural works to be completed this week. Decks will soon begin and the first delivery of the concrete seats are to arrive mid June.

Landscaping works will commence toward the end of June.



















The Coles Aurora team are in the final stages of the project!

The Coles interior is now complete, ready for the Coles Operations team to start bringing stock into the store. The Coles Express shopfronts and cool rooms have now been installed with tiling commencing this week. External slabs are prepped ready for pouring this week.

The first concrete pour of Piazza Way has been laid and all kerbs are now installed. The first section of the asphalt has been laid allowing for line marking to commence over half of the car park and footpaths have been poured down the covered walk way and behind Buildings C & D.

External cladding is almost complete, and the Gym area cladding is now a main focus with these works progressing well. The ground floor glazing has been installed to the gym with the first floor to follow. The 2 storey lift has been delivered to site with install beginning this week.






The Debenhams team have just completed their first major concrete pour!

After fighting through trying access conditions, the demolition of the existing concrete is near complete, making way for placement of new concrete and the rough-in of new services to the tenancy space – the team are beginning to see the enormity of the new space!






The carpenters have commenced the wall framing in both the heritage and new building, which has given an insight into the design and area of the gallery walls.

We have welcomed the arrival of the heritage roof from South Australia. The roofing contractors have made a good start on installation with ample preparation put in place prior to receiving the new roofing sheets.



There has been great progress at the AutoCentro Cafe project with the chimney complete, roof almost finished, external walls framed and insulation installed.










There has been plenty of action at Colac Plaza following the Easter break!

The structural steel installation to the Coles box is now finished and 70% of the Kingspan roofing has been installed.

Service trades have commenced their rough-in to the southern end of the Coles box, whilst the floor grinders have simultaneously kicked off preparing the polished concrete slab. All trades are working well together and will continue to push through the various zones of Coles as we move toward the installation of the cool rooms and internal walls.

Tenancy slabs to Building A are 70% complete, with the remaining areas (Mall and Tenancy 5) having been left out to provide crane access for the installation of the structural steel and Kingspan roofing panels. Precast panel installation to Tenancy 1 was finished last week.

Building B also kicked off last week with footing preparation for the raft slab progressing well.






Continuing on from the successful 2016 MPavilion project, Maben Group recently began works for Development Victoria at the CLEC (Community Learning & Education Centre) site in Docklands.

Complimenting the Stage 1 works around the MPavilion, Stage 2 works will:

– Tie in the material and themes of Stage 1
– Provide new pedestrian paths through the space to connect Waterview Walk and Harbour Esplanade
– Provide inviting areas next to the multi-purpose courts for sitting lounging and spectating
– Introduce outdoor exercise equipment to expand sport and activity uses in the space

The development forms part of the Pacific Epping, at the corner of Cooper Street & High Street Epping.

– New dining precinct and outdoor dining area at Ground level

– Car park reconfiguration works
– Relocation of the existing Magic Hand Car Wash

Maben Group are pleased to announce that we have been nominated preferred contractor for the Debenhams Retail Development.

Located on the lower ground floor of St Collins Lane within the Melbourne CBD, the D&C project will involve the part demolition and refurbishment of 3 existing levels for the centres new marque tenant, Debenhams.

The store is highly anticipated and will be the brands flagship store within Australia.

We look forward to working with Basso Project Management and Clarke Hopkins Clarke to deliver another successful and quality project.














Handover of the Woolworths & Tenancy stores has been achieved at Keysborough, with the Woolworths internal shop fitting teams commencing the racking and registers.

The enormous feature cypress laminated beams have been installed within the mall and the external fascias are now progressing nicely.

All asphalt and heavy duty concrete areas including line marking are now complete and the first of the Woolworths signage has been installed along the Hutton Road façade.
